Retro Market | Sunday 26th July 2009
The Burlesque Lounge is putting on another of their monthly vintage markets near the end of this month. The Retro Market frequently features 1920s to 1980s vintage and recycled clothing, shoes and accessories, antiques, retro & novelty costumes, pinup lingerie, frocks and gowns, CDs, videos & DVDs, pasties, fascinators and burlesque merchandise, sewing and crafting supplies, fabric and feathers, swing and rock 'n roll dance gear, t-shirts, dance shoes, refreshments, retro cupcakes and more!
There's often a bit of a line so either get there early or be prepared to wait on the stairs.

Made on the Left | Saturday-Sunday 25-26th July

Made on the Left is planning a full weekend of design goodness at the Hyde Park Hotel from July 25 to 26 and is calling for stallholder applications.
Made on the Left, formed in 2008, creates events and activities to promote independent art, design and fashion from around Western Australia. The association has already held three successful markets, two in Perth and one in Bunbury, in the past 12 months. The market is expanding to two days in July to meet demand.
Successful stallholders must feature their own designs at the markets, with all products either handmade by the designer or fully produced in WA. Applications can be downloaded from www.madeontheleft.com and submitted by June 20.
About Made on the Left: it's a not-for-profit association founded by independent designers in 2008 to support Western Australian creative talent. The association aims to support all WA-based creative designers, artists, craftspeople and independent labels, by sharing information and creating events.
