As part of the SILVER ARTRAGE Festival, exhibitors from Breadbox’s eclectic past are customising a generic fold out box design, the result is a large-scale installation work made up of 1000’s of boxes, referencing one of Breadbox’s earliest large-scale installations – The Book Maze of 2002.

Whether you’re a fan of poetry, hip-hop or the soapbox, the second annual Australian Poetry Slam is the event you’ve been waiting for. Contestants are given a mic and two minutes to impress the judges, who are selected from the crowd.

Created by a team led by Perth ex-pat Keg de Souza, this giant inflatable igloo runs as a festival bar in the back courtyard of The Bakery most nights, and pops up at festival locations on others, including during the Northbridge Festival where it will be running as a Fruit Bar.

Stellar weekend ladies and gents - featuring FREE performances and lots of stuff to see, hear, taste and move to!

On Saturday, visit the James and Lake Street precinct - it will be divided in four, each with a different style, look and feel. Sunday looks great. Check out Russell Square Park for music, stalls, good food and general festivities. You can pick up a copy of the latest issue of mayk, #4 too!

Looks like stack of stuff is happening in the Cultural Centre too over the whole weekend, and there's over thirteen different exhibitions in the area to check out as well. Heaps!
