Make Friend II | Saturday 8th August



Make Friend II : An exhibition of new art, held in the Norfolk Basement, 8- 12pm.
The second installment of our Make Friend exhibition series features new work by Sydney artist Beastman, who has exhibited all over Australia as well as London, New Zealand and Germany. Beastman is also the founder, editor and designer of the popular Australian online art publication - WE ARE THE IMAGE MAKER.
The exhibition will also feature Perth based artists Straker, Ben Barretto, and Grump. Barretto will be creating a special installation piece specifically for the event which will ‘create’ as the evening progresses. Straker and Grump bring their striking street styles to the event.
Make Friend II will exhibit for one night only, August 8th.

Register now for Amplifier – an exciting new arts business workshop and forum program during August-September for WA’s future arts movers and shakers aged 18-25 years.
Propel Youth Arts WA’s new initiative – Amplifier – is a FREE arts business workshop and forum program designed to sharpen the arts business skills of Perth metro artists and artsworkers aged 18-25 years.
Proudly supported by Foundation for Young Australians, the workshop and forum program through August-September 2009 consists of six workshops and three forums to provide information to equip young artists and artsworkers with a broad range of business skills, stimulate the growth of arts ideas and help make their art practice or project more commercially viable.
The program is aimed to provide professional development for young and emerging artists and arts workers, exploring current arts issues, a space for networking and personal profiling opportunities.

Places are limited to both the workshops and forums – all workshops will be catered – act quickly to secure a spot!

Condor Tower Car Park Street Art | Saturday 25th July



Condor Tower Car Park will unveil a huge street art exhibition, housed at the base of the newly built Condor Tower. Featuring the works of over 60 artists, mostly locals with a handful from over east and a couple of internationals. The group has taken it upon themselves to transform the entire space into an enormous cavern of bold, bizarre and colourful artwork.
Featuring Stormie Mills, Reka, Creepy, Daek, DrewFunk, Grumpster, Pat Doherty, Rifs, Trevor6025, Kid Zoom, Timothy Rollin, Hurben, Showbiz, Shime, Jodee Knowles, THNK, RegID, Griv, Yo-Yo and more.

Doors open at 6pm.

Retro Market | Sunday 26th July 2009

The Burlesque Lounge is putting on another of their monthly vintage markets near the end of this month. The Retro Market frequently features 1920s to 1980s vintage and recycled clothing, shoes and accessories, antiques, retro & novelty costumes, pinup lingerie, frocks and gowns, CDs, videos & DVDs, pasties, fascinators and burlesque merchandise, sewing and crafting supplies, fabric and feathers, swing and rock 'n roll dance gear, t-shirts, dance shoes, refreshments, retro cupcakes and more!
There's often a bit of a line so either get there early or be prepared to wait on the stairs.
